Welcome to The Booktenders Reading Challenge. This is a fun way to keep you reading, encourage you to explore new genres and writers, and support an indie bookshop throughout the year.
How it works
We'll provide 12 challenges, one category for each month of 2024. You choose the book that matches the category - we're happy to offer suggestions, but the final pick is yours.
Live far away? No problem, you can play too!
January: A book on your TBR pile. Bonus point if it has been on your list for more than a year.
February: A graphic novel.
March: A book by a local author.
April: A book set in a different time.
May: A book adapted into a movie or tv show.
June: Queer author/LGBTQIA+.
July: A book of essays or short stories.
August: The first book in a series.
September: A pick from one of The Booktenders book clubs.
October: A banned book.
November: Written by a BIPOC author.
December: A book from last year.
At the end of the year, send an email with your completed list to info@thebooktenders.com for a bookish surprise. Feel free to tag us in any bookish pics you take throughout the year.
